Class Descriptions

Mindful Flow

(Level F++)  – Doable yet challenging flow.

Move mindfully in a sequence of yoga postures, linking movement with breath to promote body awareness, improve flexibility and strength.

  • Warm-up focused on breath work, mobility, movement of joints and gentle stretches.
  • Basic and intermediate postures practised in a mindful flow, where movement is guided by the pace and quality of breath. Harness the breath to optimize flowing movements.
  • A combination of basic transitions (called vinyasa). Transitions challenge upper body strength (e.g., shoulders). In our classes we ensure we do a variety of transitions so we don’t do repetitive movements over the same joints.
  • Basic and intermediate seated and supine postures (either practiced dynamically or static holds).
  • Yogic rest – A much needed practice in our modern world. We use a combination of practices – guided meditation, breath work, silent rest etc. The idea is to settle the body, breath and mind.

This class is designed to suit beginners to intermediate practitioners who are looking for a mindful flow style. Class includes vinyasas or transitions.

Hatha Yoga

(Level H++) – Well rounded and doable Hatha practice.

A combination of classical yoga postures and new ones with a focus on alignment, deep breathing to improve range of motion, feel stretched and relaxed.

  • Warm-up focused on breath work, mobility, movement of joints and gentle stretches.
  • Basic and intermediate postures (standing, seated and supine) with static holds (3-10 breaths) or sometimes practiced in a slow flow.
  • Yogic rest – A much needed practice in our modern world. We use a combination of practices – guided meditation, breath work, silent rest etc. The idea is to settle the body, breath and mind.

This class is designed to suit beginners to experienced practitioners. Class is well suited to beginners as there is time to observe and get into postures. On the other hand, for experienced yogis, the time spent in the postures gives the chance to deepen the practice. You can scale your practice up to challenge yourself or down to accommodate the need of your body and mind. This class does not include vinyasas or transitions.

Mindful Flow

(Level F+++) – Comprehensive and stronger flow.

Move mindfully in a sequence of dynamic and energetic yoga postures designed to systematically build endurance, strength and flexibility.

  • Warm-up focused on breath work, mobility, movement of joints and gentle stretches.
  • Intermediate and advanced postures practiced in a mindful flow, where movement is guided by the pace and quality of breath. Harness the breath to optimize flowing movements. Pace of the class will vary – to challenge us, movement will range from slow flow with holds (e.g., to challenge balance) to a dynamic faster flow (e.g., sun salutations).
  • A combination of intermediate transitions (called vinyasa) interspersed throughout the practice. Transitions challenge upper body strength (e.g., shoulders). In our classes we ensure we do a variety of transitions so we don’t do repetitive movements over the same joints.
  • Intermediate and advanced seated and supine postures (either practiced dynamically or static holds).
  • Yogic rest – A much needed practice in our modern world. We use a combination of practices – guided meditation, breath work, silent rest etc. The idea is to settle the body, breath and mind.

This class is designed to suit intermediate to experienced practitioners who are looking for a mindful flow style. Vinyasas or transitions interspersed throughout the class.
